3 Perceived health, chronic diseases and disabilities / 2012–2017

Thematics

The researches conducted will be at the interface of the methodological reflection inherent in scientific research and epistemology, in connection with empirical research projects.

Emphasis will be placed on the methodological and epistemological problems posed by the evaluation of complex health interventions in conjunction with the work carried out within the framework of the Home Team 4360 APEMAC, Nancy-Metz-Paris Chronic diseases, perceived health And adaptation processes - Epidemiological and psychological approaches, Chronic Disease and Measurement Team.

Research on conceptual, methodological and ethical issues in the field of disability will be developed. The process of developing the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICIDH / ICF), which belongs to the World Health Organization (WHO) Family of International Classifications alongside the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health Diseases, will be the object of a critical analysis from an epistemological and ethical point of view. This project will be carried out in collaboration with many key actors of this process and will be discussed in particular in the framework of an interdisciplinary seminar organized by the Paris Institute of Humanities (Paris Diderot University).

The analysis of the ethical stakes of this research, which encounters contemporary reflections on rationality, scientific expertise and applied ethics, will be part of the ANCo seminar organized by the universities of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris 5 René-Descartes and Paris 7 Denis-Diderot.
